From September 8 to 11, Hirata participated in the 87th JSAP Autumn Meeting 2026, held at the Sapporo Campus of Hokkaido University.

During the meeting, Hirata gave an invited talk in the symposium “Active Species Control, Interface Formation, and Functionalities: Perspectives Connecting Plasma and Carbon-Based Thin Films,” where he presented his research achievements on the formation and interface control of carbon-based thin films.
